I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. Rev. 3:15-16
Many people give up on the word of God when they do not see the manifestation of what has been promised in the word of God immediately. Unlike the woman with the issue of blood as recorded in the word of God, instead of holding on; believing what they were promised in the word, they become covered by the reality of facts which are still not as potent as the truth- the word of God. God would rather have us hot. That is believing in Him.
The woman with the issue of blood went against her senses. She cast down all the reasoning that said to her that her case of twelve years should by now be deemed impossible to resolve. The reasoning that she should settle into a lifestyle that would accommodate her condition rather than fight the good fight of faith by taking corresponding actions in line with her belief to enforce her healing. Guess What! She was healed despite her previous failed attempts. Mary, the virgin, remained hot by believing God. She said, “nevertheless (i.e. despite the fact that what God said did not make natural sense), at they word…”, and the miracle child, the saviour Jesus Christ was born through her.
The widow of Zarephath was also hot in her belief of God’s word. She took the faith action of getting the jars as instructed by the prophet and she alongside her children were saved from death by starvation because she was hot in her belief of God.
N:B be hot in believing God for whatever He has promised you from His word!
